For our first Fetish Ball, we held an open call for models to appear on the MarquisAmerica site. We were overwhelmed by the response. Fetish models in beautiful latex, leather and corsetry came by to be photographed. Now we want you to help us determine which model will win a professional model shooting with MARQUIS AMERICA. Is the rating system working? Clicking on the pictures doesn’t seem to give a way to cast a rating.

I am not sure what you are looking for within the contest. However, this site seems to be more based on how many people the model can get to vote for them IE The amount of star votes are based upon getting people to come see the picture of them and not on the models looks, talents, diversity and the alike. It doesn’t seem like a model fetish contest, but more like a lets see who the models can get to come and vote for them. A real popularity contest based on how many friends or people each of the models know and how many of them actually take the time to come and visit this site. Most people will only look at the model that invited them and not at any of the other models unless curiosity is peeked for whatever reason. Most of the models have less than 30 people who have actually gave them a star rating and there is one individual who has 150 people who have rated them. A real contest would have equal number of people who have rated each individual model with the star rating system that is in place.
I recommend having each model post several pictures of themselves in different fetish ware to showcase their abilities as well as having each model be viewed by and rated with an equal number of people across the board. Take the bias out of this. You may even want to give the models access to a banner html code to post up within the community. It would bring more viewers to the site and help with overall exposure. Good for the site and the models. Everybody wins.

Just so everyone knows, you rate by clicking on the stars underneath all the girl’s pictures in our individual pages.
1. Click on pic.
2. Be taken to girl’s individual page.
3. Hover mouse over the Stars under each girl’s pic.
4. Click to give a rating.

It’s actually (apparently) even more skewed than that, Mistress of Merit.
The voting system seems to use a cookie on the browser rather than an IP check on the server to prevent the user from voting twice. Any mildly tech-savvy person could easily remove the cookie in question from his browser and vote multiple times.
I wonder if the nice folks running the site can do a logscan and ensure that only one vote is cast per IP? That would be the only way to really ensure that it’s even just a popularity contest at this point.

Why are there only ten pics? There were tons more people than that that posed that night…Am I missing something?
