Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School is a lovely free-wheeling life drawing workshop founded by Molly Crabapple of NYC. There are Dr. Sketchy’s in most major cities in the US now, and in other countries as well. If there isn’t one near you, you could start one! www.drsketchy.com for info on how.

It’s traditonal at Dr. Sketchy’s for the model to be “alternative”- burlesque, fetish, pierced, transgendered, you name it- and for the crowd to be drunk and naughty. Folks of any drawing skill level are welcome, and contests with fun prizes like porn and sex toys are part of every event.

Our San Francisco Dr. Sketchy’s is now being run by artist Jessica Whiteside, aka burlesque queen Tinky Sparkle, and this month’s session featured well-known SF burlesque performer and fetish scene queen Citty Rich. Above is my drawing of her!
