Through the use of bright colors and fashion-oriented designs, Nimue’s Latex Fashions strives to bring latex into the mainstream fashion world. A one-woman company, Nimue’s was founded in 1999 by Audrey Hawkes. Frustrated at ill-fitting clothes, shoddy workmanship, and a lack of variety in available latex garments, Audrey created her own clothing line and began making latex clothes.Â
Now in its 10th year of business, Nimue’s Latex Fashions prides itself on its durable, well-constructed and well-fitting latex clothing. By offering custom sizing, Nimue’s insures that properly fitting clothes are available to all. Because their clothing is made-to-order, Nimue’s is happy to make alterations to their existing designs so you can have a finished product that is perfect for you.
Initially starting with latex basics like tank dresses and hobble skirts, Nimue’s Latex Fashions has since expanded into more complex designs, like their Victorian collection, which features a pleated bustle skirt and fitted long sleeve top, and their newest design, a salsa-inspired Fishtail Dress. Urged on by Audrey’s love of film and comic books, Nimue’s Latex Fashion also excels at costume recreation, including their popular Wonder Woman bodysuit and Lara Croft top.Â
In recent months, Nimue’s Latex Fashions has begun to expand its collection of vintage and historical designs with the addition of corsets and waist cinchers, and Audrey’s most ambitious creation to date: a steel-framed hoop skirt!
You can check out more of Audrey’s designs on the Nimue’s Latex Fashions website: www.nimueslatex.com.
