In our quest to get issue #5 of Von Gutenberg Magazine into the hot little hands of everybody we can, Jean Bardot, our beautiful cover model, came to the premier fetish store, Purple Passion/DV8 in NYC to sign copies of the magazine. It was a nice time in the ole Big Apple and having never met Jean, who goes by the moniker ‘The Rubber One’, but having seen her pictures plenty and done some work on her interview I was tickled to meet the lady, hang with our CEO Erik von Gutenberg, Madame Zoie, the owner of P.P. Hilton and all the other nice people who work at frequent the store.

While Jean signed from 5-7, I had the opportunity to interview her in person, take more than a few lustful ganders at her in her blue/black latex dress from www.vongutenberg.com/shop and learn a little bit more about the Minneapolis native.

I found out that Jean worked for Minneapolis’ most favorite provocative son…Prince.  The purple one has his very own clothing/costuming company and while Jean-who holds a degree in fashion-worked for the diminutive rock star she got to hit all the cool parties, but as the leggy lady informed me: “If it wasn’t for the specific clothing dummies being his size, you’d never know who you were working for; I hardly ever saw him, really.” And just as I was about to ask the lady for some true purple spangled dirt she told me that the non-disclosure agreement she had to sign to work for Prince was 25 pages thick!

While Mistress Bardot took time for long heart-to-hearts with fans, offered up an acrylic cane to a few deserving behinds and posed for copious pictures with everybody we spoke business-which in Jean’s case is modeling and working as a dom-and how the economy has hit her, as it seems to have hit all of us.

“I usually go over to Europe for modeling assignments 4 times a year, I find now that’s cut back a bit, but luckily I already have two dates booked to go over in 2012, so that’s a good thing.” And in addition to Jean’s modeling and seeing subs she also maintains a heavy web presence here:

“I don’t have an agent but I have cultivated some very good relationships and contacts over the years, meeting the right people at the right time,” the fetching blue-eyed lady continued and it seems to have served her well as she was just in San Francisco at the adult industry Y-Not convention in June, was with us all in NYC and then jetting back to Minneapolis at the end of the week to see clients and do more modeling.
